“Business as usual” New Awarded Contract for “passenger transfer services”
In November 2019, Frontex awarded another contract for what they describe as “passenger transfer services by sea” from Mytilini to Dikili. The two-year contract has an estimated value of 1 640 000.00 euro and was awarded to Lazaris A. Gomos D. OE registered in Mytilini. Our previous observation has shown how commercial interest and deportation intersect (info). These commercial actors, state, and intrastate agencies are responsible for the situation on the island but also in facilitating the EU-Turkey statement. These actors should be held accountable for their actions!
